Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Agon website and your purchase of any products from Agon("we," "us"). By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use this site.

1. Research use only

All products sold by Agon are laboratory research chemicals and research supplies, sold strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. Our products are not for human or veterinary use of any kind and are not drugs, foods, dietary supplements, cosmetics, or medical devices. No statement on this site has been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Nothing on this site is medical, health, or usage advice, and we do not provide protocols or guidance for any use in humans or animals.

2. Purchaser certification

By placing an order, you certify that:

  • you are at least 21 years of age;
  • you are purchasing solely for legitimate laboratory research purposes, and you (or your institution) are qualified to safely handle research materials;
  • you will not use, or permit others to use, any product for human or veterinary purposes, or in any manner that violates applicable law;
  • you are solely responsible for compliance with all laws and regulations that apply in your jurisdiction, including those governing purchase, possession, handling, storage, and disposal of research materials.

3. Right to refuse

We may refuse, cancel, or limit any order at our sole discretion, including where we believe a product may be misused. Amounts paid for refused or cancelled orders will be refunded.

4. Product information

Product specifications, including batch analysis, are provided by independent third-party laboratories and are made available for research documentation purposes. We make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate but do not warrant that any description is error-free.

5. Misuse voids all warranties

Any use of our products contrary to these Terms — including any human or veterinary use — is misuse, is strictly prohibited, voids all express or implied warranties, and releases Agon from any liability arising from such use.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Agon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site or our products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Agon, its owners, and its personnel from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your use, handling, storage, or disposal of any product.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time of your order applies to that order.
